What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a sacred, body-led practice—a rhythmic, intentional way of breathing that invites healing, emotional release, and deep inner clarity. It’s a portal: a bridge between your conscious mind and your intuitive self.

At its core, breathwork is an active form of meditation. By using a simple, repetitive breath pattern, you drop beneath the noise of the mind and into the body’s wisdom. With each breath, you create space to clear stuck energy, soften tension, and connect to whatever is present within you.

People come to breathwork to release stress, ease anxiety, move through creative blocks, or reconnect with something deeper. You don’t need any experience—just a willingness to surrender to the process.

This is a practice of remembering. Of returning. Of letting the breath do what it knows how to do.

The Flow of a Breathwork Session

Each 1:1 session is a 60-minute journey designed to support your unique process. We begin with grounding and intention setting, followed by a guided breathwork practice and space to integrate.

Here’s what the session typically includes:

Opening & Intention
We’ll briefly check in and talk about what’s alive for you—what’s present in your body, your heart, or your life. I’ll share the breath pattern and answer any questions.

Active Breathing
You’ll lie down in a comfortable position wearing an eye mask if you choose, and I’ll guide you through about 30–35 minutes of active three-part breathwork with music and verbal cues. Mental, physical, and emotional sensations may arise—mind chatter, tingling, temperature shifts, emotional release, or a sense of deep stillness. Whatever comes up is welcome.

Integration & Rest
After the active portion, we return to stillness. This is where the body begins to integrate the shifts. You may feel grounded, clear, creative, emotional, or simply calm.

Debrief & Closing
We’ll gently come back together, reflect on the experience, and close the session with care.

No two sessions are ever the same. But the breath always brings what’s needed.

In-Person Sessions

If you are local to the Bay Area and want to explore meeting in-person instead of virtually for your 1:1 or Partners Breathwork Session, please reach out. We can co-create a special practice together either outside in nature or at my home. Prices vary based on whether it is a 1:1 session or for you and a partner, duration of the session, and any add-ons including a yoga practice or Celtic celebration day practice. Interested in an In-Person 1:1 or Partner Breathwork Session?

If you’re seeking a more personal, grounded experience, I also offer private breathwork sessions in person—whether just for you or shared with a partner, friend, or loved one.

These sessions are ideal for those who:

  • Crave a more embodied, hands-on presence

  • Are processing something tender and want in-person support

  • Prefer to breathe in shared physical space rather than virtually

  • Want to explore breathwork with a trusted partner or loved one

We’ll begin by settling in, sharing intentions, and grounding together before moving into a guided breathwork journey. The practice includes active breathing, moments of stillness, and a closing space for integration. Optional add-ons to in-person sessions include adding a yoga practice or an educational & ritual section in honor of a particular Celtic celebration day within the Wheel of the Year.

Each session is held with care and intuition—tailored to meet you (and your partner, if applicable) exactly where you are.

Prices vary based on group size, location, duration of the session, and any add-ons including a yoga practice and/or Celtic celebration day practice. Please submit a request using the contact form & share number of attendees, whether you prefer virtual or in-person (please include location), if you want to include add-ons, and 2-3 times that would work for your group.

IS BREATHWORK RIGHT FOR ME?

Active breathwork can be practiced by healthy individuals.

  • If you are dealing with a serious medical condition, we advise to speak to your doctor.

  • We do not recommend active breathwork if you are pregnant or suffer from any of the following:

    • Severe asthma or epilepsy

    • High blood pressure

    • A history of serious health issues like heart failure or stroke
